ROMANTIC residents can pick up oysters for just 25p each from Morrisons in Droitwich between now and Valentine’s Day to get them in the mood for love.
Research shows that 60 per cent of people have never tasted nature’s most famous aphrodisiac because a survey conducted by the supermarket giant revealed 40 per cent of its shoppers had never had the opportunity to try an oyster.
Of those, 12 per cent said they would like to sample one but were put off by the price and 60 per cent of them added they were put off because they thought they would not like the taste.
One in five people said they would not know what to do with them and 21 per cent said they feared not being able to open the shell.
Morrisons which have a fish counter will hold oyster preparation classes and will also shuck and prepare individual oysters on request.
