A DROITWICH man has been jailed for 79 weeks for thefts and drugs offences.
Daniel Bullock, 22, from Bays Meadow, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to two counts of theft of a bike, one count of theft from a person and several drugs offences.
Bullock admitted two counts of possession of a class A drug (cocaine), two further counts of possession of a class A drug (heroin) and one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug (cannabis).
Bullock took the bikes from Droitwich and Worcester city centre during early February 2017 and also stole a handbag from Worcester – 27 weeks of the 79 were for those offences.
He was arrested in Droitwich on February 8 after being seen riding on one of the stolen bicycles.
Investigating officer PC Paul Lambon said he hoped the custodial sentence reassured the public the police took crimes of this nature seriously and would act on information given to them.
“We are still looking to trace a number of bikes that have been stolen in Worcestershire in the early part of 2017, some of which have been advertised on Facebook with a view to a quick sale.”
He urged anyone who had bought a bike or other items, such as mobile phones, in similar circumstances in February to come forward as they may have information vital to a number of ongoing cases.
