A LOT OF homes across Droitwich and the surrounding areas are still without power following high winds brought about by Storm Doris.
In the ‘WR9 8’, ‘WR9 7’ and ‘WR9 0’ postcode areas, hundreds of homes have suffered power cuts with electricity not expected to return until midnight.
Almost 60 homes in Ombersley and Wychbold have seen their supplies cut – those homes should be back on at 11pm.
Some homes in Droitwich – in the ‘WR9 0’ postcode area – are not expected to have their power returned until 2am tomorrow.
Across Worcestershire there have been 52 power cut incidents in total with 2,808 homes across the county still without power.
The county is currently the second worst area affected by today’s power cuts in the country, behind Staffordshire.
