DROITWICH Ladies F kept up their hopes of avoiding the drop from Division Ten East of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League alive with a 4-0 victory over David Lloyd Bromsgrove D.
Janine Billinge and Helen Bibbey produced two fine displays to win both of their matches in straight sets.
Shona Atherton and Bridget Gill fought hard to win both of their matches in three sets to secure the excellent victory.
The Men’s D kept their promotion hopes alive in Division Seven East after a 3-1 home victory against Bewdley D.
James Stanford and Dave Wicks were involved in two three-set thrillers, winning the first 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 and losing the second 1-6, 6-3, 4-6.
Dave Lamb and James McKelvey were in superb form and picked up two well deserved 6-2, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-2 wins.
Elsewhere, the Mixed A team had a difficult afternoon away to Manor Park A in Division One.
Joe Maidment and Lisa Pettener-Jones lost their first match 1-6, 5-7 before a 2-6, 4-6 defeat in their second.
James Nam and Dee Smith gave their all but unfortunately lost both of their matches 3-6, 1-6 and 6-4, 6-7, 6-7 respectively.
This result leaves Droitwich fourth in the table.
