YOUNGSTERS from Chawson First School in Droitwich all had a bunch of daffodils to give to their mums today for Mothering Sunday.
The move was thanks to the Chawson First School Association – the parent and teacher association – which provided the flowers.
Trudy Purser, the school’s reception teaching assistant, said: “It’s lovely because not all children would have had something to give to their mum or other parent or adult.
“We have talked to the children about the tradition of Mother’s Day and they were really excited about getting the daffodils to give to their loved ones.
“It’s a great gesture for the association.”
