Droitwich Editorial 28th Mar, 2017   0

DROITWICH residents who would like to take up the challenge of being a councillor have two opportunities to fulfil their goal.

Vacancies have occurred in the Droitwich South East Ward of Wychavon District Council and Droitwich Spa Town Council’s Copcut Ward.

If contested elections for the seats would take place on May 4 – the same day as the Worcestershire County Council elections.

Wychavon’s electoral services manager Elaine Dicks said: “We’re always keen to encourage people to find out more about standing for election.

“There’s a lot of information on our website about what to expect including a video.

“Councillors find it a very rewarding experience and a useful opportunity to make a difference in the community.”

Anyone interested in standing as a candidate for these elections an access nomination forms from www.wychavon.gov.uk/current-elections by calling 01386 565437 or emailing [email protected]

Forms must be returned by 4pm on Monday (April 4).
