CUSTOMERS at Morrisons in Droitwich can get free hot cross buns today (Friday).
The idea is for people to pass them onto their friends and neighbours as an act of Easter kindness.
The scheme has been launched by the supermarket to bring people together and to get people chatting.
It comes after statistics show 70 per cent of people admit never speaking to their neighbours and 86 per cent saying they have no idea who lives in their street.
The study found that people today have less time for each other compared with previous years, with 67 per cent saying they do not feel as involved in their local community in comparison to previous generations.
Morrisons are also holding a Café Older Person event from 2.30pm to 5pm next Saturday (April 15), offering members of the public over 60 years of age a free hot drink and a hot cross bun.
