MEMBERS of the town’s Lions group were bowled over when they headed down to Droitwich Cricket Club to see the difference their donation had made to the organisation.
Droitwich Lions contributed £500 which was raised through the annual Christmas sleigh appeal that members of the cricket club helped with during the festive season.
A spokesperson for the Lions said the cause was chosen because of the great job the club was doing encouraging both boys and girls to pick up a bat and ball and play cricket.
Mike Wallis from the club told the Lions the cash was crucial as the cricket club had about 100 members and more and more youngsters waiting to join.
