Droitwich gearing up for the annual Food Festival on Saturday

DROITWICH Spa Food and Drink Festival will be officially opened by TV chef Brian Turner and MP Nigel Huddleston at 10am on Saturday.

The event, at the town’s Lido Park, will boast 100 food and drink stalls and cookery demonstrations by Brian Turner and local chefs.

The stalls will feature a wide range of products, including some award-winning items, and almost 90 per cent of them are from within a 30-mile radius of Droitwich.

The winners of the Bake Off Competition for both children and adults and a Best Sausage contest.




Food producers will also give demonstrations on a range of dishes and visitors will be able to try their hand at making a pork pie with the help of Stephen Hallam, the award-winning Melton Mowbray pork pie maker.

There will be live entertainment in the main bandstand all day from local singers, bands and choirs and free entertainment for children.


The Droitwich Spa Food and Drink Festival is run by a committee of volunteer representatives and is supported by Wychavon District Council and Droitwich Town Council and Local Businesses.
