THERE will be a flag-raising ceremony and parade in Droitwich this morning to mark Armed Forces Day.
The event, at 11.15am outside St Richard’s House will be attended by the Mayor of Droitwich Spa, Coun ShaunBest, the Droitwich Royal British Legion, cadet organisations and Rev Nigel Byard.
After the short service and flag waving there will be a minute silence.
Armed Forces Day is held in June every year and enables residents to show their support for servicemen and women and appreciation for the tough jobs they do on a daily basis.
