WYCHAVON District and Droitwich Town Councillor Richard Morris has praised the police and the authorities for the way they dealt with an illegal traveller encampment in the town.
The camp encroached on the land off Addyes Way at 6.45pm last Friday, leading to West Mercia officers taking action.
Coun Morris said: “It was criminal damage the way they gained gain access to the site and the police were fantastic.
“The whole thing was dealt with in a couple of hours.”
He added Wychavon District Council had also re-secured the site to prevent further encampments from happening.
