A HOST of popular characters including Elsa from Frozen, Popeye and Elf took part in a fancy dress sponsored walk around Droitwich on Saturday.
The 5K stroll was organised by the team from Westmead Residential Care Home and relatives and friends of the home also got into the spirit by dressing in the costumes and taking part.
The home’s activities leader Sarah Eckley said the support from people in the town, who put spare change into collection buckets, was overwhelming.
Although much of the sponsorship money is still coming in, Sarah said they had raised enough to pay for some wonderful treats for the residents.
“The atmosphere as we walked around the town was absolutely brilliant and the generosity of the people of Droitwich was amazing.
“It was just great and has been so good for the home – thank you so much to everyone for their support.”
