Droitwich distraction burglar who preyed on her elderly victims jailed for five years

A DROITWICH woman who pleaded guilty to carrying out distraction burglaries on two elderly women has been jailed for five years.

Stacey Billington was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Friday (July 14).

In the first burglary on June 12, the 31-year-old approached a property in Vines Mews, asking for help. The occupier allowed her to use her telephone and whilst in the property she stole a purse.

The second burglary was committed on June 19 in Ploughman’s Walk.




She again asked for help in order to gain access to the property and stole a purse.
