Art sculpture under way at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury

Droitwich Editorial 26th Aug, 2017   0

THE ANNUAL Sculpture Trail at Hanbury’s Jinney Ring Craft Centre got under way yesterday and runs until September 30.

The event encourages tourists and art lovers alike to view works by new and returning artists.

The sculptures are in various mediums and subject matters and the picturesque surroundings of the Malvern Hills provide the perfect backdrop for the pieces.

The trail has been run for more than ten years and usually features over 100 different pieces of sculpture art.

Pieces by Hampton Court Flower Show gold medal winner Simon Probyn and works by local artists Liz Dixon, whose exhibit includes a fisherman created from recycled materials will be on display, as will Wendy Stafford’s giant glass flowers.

All pieces on show will be for sale at a range of prices.

Entry for the trail is free of charge and visitors will have the opportunity to take in the Jinney Ring’s other displays including glass blowing, textiles and woodwork.
