A DROITWICH author is set to release two of the latest books in her critically-acclaimed thriller series.
Sheryl Browne’s ‘Sins of the Father’ and ‘Deadly Intent’ are the new installments in the gripping Detective Inspector Matthew Adams series and will be released on Tuesday, September 5.
Following ‘After She’s Gone’, published last year to rave reviews, ‘Sins of the Father’ returns to DI Adams as he is slowly picking up the pieces from a case that nearly cost him the lives of his entire family, along with his own sanity.
She said: “Publishing days are wonderful, to have a day where two of your babies are out in the world makes it even more special.
“I’m so pleased to see this series doing so well.
“DI Adams has become very close to my heart and it’s a pleasure to be able to keep his story going, even if I’m having to pull night shifts to keep up with demand.”
For this latest creation Sheryl took inspiration from the waterways of Droitwich and her love of canal boating, even restoring an old narrowboat herself.
“It’s not the first time the canals have made an appearance in my books and certainly won’t be the last.
“But yes, a narrowboat features quite significantly in Deadly Intent,” she added.
As well as writing thrillers, Sheryl is known for her women’s fiction books such as ‘The Rest of My Life’ which was selected for the 2016 Best of the Year promotion by WH Smith.
‘Sins of the Father’ is available as a paperback from Tuesday at all good book shops and online stores while ‘Deadly Intent’ is available in all ebook platforms from the same day.
