DROITWICH Spa Men’s Firsts bounced back from their pre-season defeat to Ludlow with an emphatic 7-0 victory over county rivals Evesham.
Spa played the ball around the back to stretch Evesham’s defence before firing crosses into the circle.
Craig Timmis broke the deadlock after 11 minutes before Lee Wakelam doubled the advantage.
Spa attacked with quick, crisp passing which gave them space down the wings to run and allow the midfielders of Oliver Oxley and Marcus Claytor to win the ball.
After half time Spa’s sharpness paid dividends as there was a goal each for Timmis and Wakelam.
Tommy Ross then got in on the act as he added two goals before Richard Woodward added the gloss to the scoreline.
