AN AUDI A4 stolen in Birmingham during a car jacking has been recovered in Droitwich after a police pursuit.

Two men went to an address in Fordhouse Lane, Stirchley, at 3.15am yesterday morning (Monday) and, after the car’s alarm was triggered, the owner of the vehicle went to investigate.

The two men then attacked the man with a knife and forced him to hand over the keys.

The thieves drove off in the vehicle and the man was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be serious.

After being alerted the police circulated the details of the car to other officers and it was spotted being driven near Droitwich.

Officers pursued it and arrested the pair on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.

They are currently in police custody.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information on the incident should call West Midlands Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
