THE DAMP start to the season continued at St Peter’s Fields where Droitwich’s first and third team fixtures against Old Vigornians and Pershore respectively were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The Seconds’ visit to Cookley also fell foul of the weather on Saturday morning – preventing the meeting of the two newly-promoted sides to the Worcestershire County League’s Second XI Division One.
It is hoped that the weather improves this weekend, when the Firsts are scheduled to travel to Oldswinford & Stourbridge Social in Division Two while the Seconds host Worcester.
The Thirds will attempt to get their Division Five campaign underway with the visit of Old Hill with the Fourths are in action for the first time with a Knock-out Cup clash at Worcester Nomads.
