MEMBERS of SPArkles WI in Droitwich held their AGM and Karen Philpott has been re-elected as president for the third year in a row.
She said she was delighted to take up the role again and praised the amount of kindness showed by the group.
“We have so much fun and everyone is supportive of each other.”
The membership of SPArkles WI has almost doubled in the past three years and in the last year the group has fund-raised extensively for local charities, including the Midlands Air Ambulance.
The get-togethers have kept the women busy with fencing, windsurfing, theatre, spa trips and llama walking all on the agenda.
There are also a few active groups, including Knit and Natter, craft, book and supper clubs.
