TEENAGERS will be able to test and hone their survival skills at a number of events taking place at Lower Smite Farm this summer, writes Reuben Virk.
The sessions, offered by Worcestershire Wildlife Trust (WWT), include the challenge of surviving a ‘zombie apocalypse’ and other simulated situations.
The next one at the venue, in between Droitwich and Worcester, will be Campfire Cooking from from 10am to 1pm on Friday, August 3.
There will also a Night-Time Safari on the August 17, and a Whittling and Campfire Gadgets session on the August 31.
The sessions are suitable for young people aged 13 to 17 and are aimed at inspiring teenagers to get outdoors more.
Ben Rees, the WWT’s youth engagement officer, said: “This is a great opportunity for any teens in the county to explore the outdoors, gain more confidence and learn some exciting and unusual skills.
“Whether teens just book onto one or the whole series, we guarantee they’ll learn new stuff and we will have lots of fun along the way.”
He added everything being taught was very important, and offered a good chance to learn valuable life skills and provide summer holiday fun.
