A SPECIAL day has been organised for people interested in the history of mental health.
On Wednesday, October 10, from 11.30am until 1pm, curator Louise Price, Dr Frank Crompton and former Mental Nurse Ken Crump aim to raise awareness of mental health in Worcestershire on World Mental Health Day.
Entry, which is free, will be from 11am in the Lecture Theatre at the Charles Hastings Education Centre, Charles Hastings Way, Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Louise Price, curator said: “This morning of short talks and discussion will focus on the history of mental health services in Worcestershire.
“It’s a great opportunity for the museum to continue to help raise awareness of mental health, and there will be opportunities to look after your own mental health with short mindful activities built in.”
To attend call 01905 760738 or email [email protected].
This is a free event by the George Marshall Medical Museum. Time for lunch will be allocated and there is a café in the Charles Hastings Education Centre with a selection of hot and cold food and drinks.
