THE ROTARY Club of Droitwich Spa has presented Dr Jenny Bulman with its Good Citizen Award 2018.

Dr Bulman has played an important role in the lives of many in Droitwich for around 40 years, including carrying out a wealth of charity and community work.

She has been an innovator, leader, volunteer, planner and organiser in healthcare and humanitarian services in the town.

She founded St Richard’s Hospice, the Droitwich Foodbank and the Women’s Refuge, has been a keen supporter of the Norbury Theatre and lent her support to the Spa’s Churches Together and many charities.

St Richard’s Hospice started after a meeting in Jenny’s Kitchen 33 years ago and is now a major care provider, supporting 2,400 patients every year and being assisted by 2,100 volunteers.

Dr Bulman is also an excellent artist and musician and has used her talents for the benefit of the Droitwich Community.

‘She is also greatly loved by many friends’, added the citation.

Dr Bulman was presented with her award by Michael Lambden, the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa President, at the Chateau Impney Hotel.
