A QUANTITY of drugs were seized this morning after police raided a house in Droitwich this morning, using a chainsaw to cut through the front door.
Officers swooped at the property in Ploughman’s Rise at 7.30am following intelligence that a ‘county line’ dealer was using the house to supply class A drugs to the community.
The operation was carried out by the specialist rapid entry task force, supported by officers from the Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).
As well as the drugs, mobile phones, thought to contain crucial digital evidence, were also seized. They have been sent off to be analysed and enquiries are ongoing.
PC Richard Rees, from Droitwich SNT, said it sent out a stark warning.
“Any addresses suspected of dealing drugs or housing dealers will be targeted.
“As well as any an potential criminal proceedings we will also work with housing associates to evict people involved in this type of criminality.”
Any information on suspected drug dealing can be reported to police by calling 101 or reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
