THE FIRST ever Lantern Walk to raise funds for the Primrose Hospice will be held at Hanbury Hall on February 2.
The stroll around the grounds will take place at dusk and be proceeded by a performance from the Primrose Choir.
Participants over 12 will be given a lantern with a battery operated tealight with under 12s receiving a glow stick to help them light the way.
The walk is supported by Bromsgrove-based CLT Electrical and Data.
The company’s director Chris Towler said: “We are proud to support our local charity with the wonderful work they do providing people with a ray of sunshine in their days of need.”
The walk is unique and is a special opportunity for the community to come together to remember those they love and are no longer with them.
Everyone is welcome to the walk, not just those touched by the charity’s care.
Primrose Hospice fund-raiser Anna Wilson said the charity was delighted to be holding the event.
“Not only will the evening be tranquil it will also be magical with fairy lights illuminating parts of the walk.”
Registration is at 4pm on the day and funds will go towards the Primrose which supports patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
