PUPILS and staff at Hanbury C of E First School have raised £2,248 for Bowel Cancer UK after a reception teacher was diagnosed with the illness.
Fund-raising included a grand raffle, cake sales, wearing purple and green on non-uniform day and a World Cup sweepstake.
Headteacher Mr Payne said: “There are so many people who are part of the Hanbury School family.
“The way everyone got involved and donated to this very important charity and cause makes me very proud and shows just how much that family means to us all.”
Events and activities took place throughout 2018 to raise funds for the charity which supports those living with bowel cancer after Mrs Kershaw’s diagnosis.
