REVEALED - Plans to move Witton Post Office to safeguard its long-term future

Droitwich Editorial 5th Apr, 2019   0

PROPOSALS have been revealed to move Witton Post Office in Droitwich to the Nisa on Oakland Avenue in a bid to safeguard its long-term future, writes Henri Bujard.

The current postmaster has resigned and the post office’s current location has been withdrawn for use with alternative locations having been identified as possible replacements.

The new proposed opening hours would be Monday to Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sunday from 8am to 9pm, totalling an extra 33 hours of post office service per week.

Although a date for the closure of the Witton branch has not yet been confirmed, the post office is inviting customers and other interested parties to give their views on the plan before the consultation closes on May 16.

Customers are encouraged to share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 225247.

Submissions can also be made via email to [email protected], by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, by calling 03452 66 01 15 or by texting 03457 22 33 55.
