MEMBERS of Droitwich Spa Inner Wheel Club president has raised £1,000 for her chosen charity – the Teenage Cancer Trust, writes Natalia Lejzak.
The cash was handed over by Lynda Gillespie to the charity’s regional fund-raiser Charlotte Kendall at the group’s recent Annual General Meeting.
The ultimate goals for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity is to ensure ‘no young person in the UK faces cancer alone’ as it aims to provide specialist units in NHS hospitals.
It also ensures staff, who are specialists in the teenage cancer field, are trained and funded correctly.
