A HUGE tree has come crashing down in Droitwich town centre, damaging three cars in the process.
Police officers and the fire service attended Victoria Square at around 10.45am this morning to see if they could remove the tree.
Sergeant Sarah Kent of Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “At first we thought someone was injured following the fall, but luckily no one was.
“The tree landed extremely close to The Raven Hotel.
“We’re currently waiting for highways to come along and break down the tree, before taking it away.”
Officers are urging residents to avoid the area.
