HEREFORD and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service has warned people with log burners and real coal fires to get their chimneys swept for the winter.
It follows crews being called to several chimney fires in the last week.
Out of control blazes can be caused by blocked chimneys and debris.
As well as having their chimneys swept before their first use of the season the fire service also suggests people have them checked regularly.
