THE IN-FORM sides in the Mid-West Premiership continued to pick up points in Wednesday’s round of fixtures.

Leaders Barley Mow have extended their advantage to 22 points, courtesy of an 8-1 demolition of 12th-placed Star & Garter.

Closest rivals Masons Chalked Up found their encounter with fourth-placed Salt ‘n’ Asbo’s more difficult in a 6-3 victory.

Never In Salted recorded the second-best triumph of the night with a 7-2 rout of Rifle No Mans, who are 11th, to move within 15 points of Masons with a game in hand.

In one of the week’s highlights, DWMC emerged victors against The Dovey after three-and-a-half hours of play. The seventh-placed visitors had to dig deep to leave with a 6-3 victory that strengthens their push for a top-six finish, while The Dovey remain ninth.

Tenth-placed Wessie Wanderers lost 6-3 by The Doverdale Arms, who stay fifth, with The Pillar of Dreams a place behind in sixth after a narrow 5-4 victory over eighth-placed The Hop Pole.
