DROITWICH’S Norbury Theatre has suspended all its shows and other operations following advice issued by Prime Minister Boris Johnson relating to COVID-19.
The venue was due to host its players’ performances of A Bunch of Amateurs from Thursday.
But they will now not go ahead.
Mr Johnson advised everyone to ‘avoid gatherings and crowded places, such as pubs, clubs and theatres’.
In a statement bosses said: “It is with regret that, following on from Government advice issued today, the Norbury will be ceasing all operations with immediate effect and until further notice.
“This includes productions, rehearsals, cinema and streaming.
“The situation is very new and we will be issuing details to ticket holders and members over the coming days.
“We thank you for your patience and support and will keep you updated as best as we can.”
