A STOLEN car reached speeds of 120mph as it was pursued by police on the M5.

The chase started in Brierley Hill and lasted for more than 20 miles, through Bromsgrove and Droitwich.

Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit eventually forced the car to stop at Junction 6 (Worcester) by using a TPAC manoeuvre.

A TPAC involved officers pulling in front, alongside and behind a target vehicle to bring it to a standstill.

The driver had committed several offences, including failing to stop for police.

They were arrested and taken into custody.

OPU officers thanked the Central Motorway Police Group control room for its help.
