FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a property in Droitwich last night which was struck by lightning during thunderstorms.
The crews from Droitwich and Bromsgrove attended the incident on the Westlands estate.
When they got there at 8pm they found there had been damage to the loft but fortunately for those living inside there was no fire.
There were widespread thunderstorms across the region last night, along with heavy rain.
In some areas flash-flooding was reported, posing nightmare conditions for drivers.
