OFFICERS from Wychavon District Council are working with police to remove a group of travellers who have set up an illegal encampment on St Peter’s Field in Droitwich.
The settlement – which began on Friday and consists of cars and caravans – has caused disruption to planned sporting events, including Droitwich Cricket Club.
Phil Merrick, Head of Economy and Environment at Wychavon District Council said: “We are liaising with the police and have commenced the eviction process.”
