A NEW education adviser has been appointed for the Diocese of Worcester.
The Revd Duncan Hutchinson will join the Diocesan education team in January and will lead on the training programme for schools across Worcestershire and Dudley.
His remit also includes advising them on Christian vision, values and ethos, RE, collective worship, spiritual development, and Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS).
On his appointment, Duncan said: “I am passionate about church education, developing children’s spirituality and helping children flourish as the people God has intended them to be.
“I am really looking forward to working with the team and the schools in Worcestershire and Dudley.”
Director of education for the Diocese of Worcester, Dr Margaret James, said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Duncan to the Diocese.
“He has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Church school teaching and leadership and this knowledge and experience will be of real benefit to all our church schools.”
