The £145,915 handed to the Worcester Arches project is the fourth largest grant handed out in recent months from the Government.

Worcester’s historic Cathedral received £241,624 last month while arts bosses at Worcester Live Charitable Trust were handed £240,000 in October.

A further £190,000 was received by the Cathedral while the Canal and River Trust and Museum of Royal Worcester were handed £143,720 and £107,275 respectively.
