Residents warned to 'check their bank notes' after spate of fake £20s being used in South Worcestershire

Droitwich Editorial 27th Apr, 2021   0

PEOPLE across South Worcestershire are being urged to check their bank notes after a spate of goods being bought using fake £20 notes.

The notes look like the one pictured above and can be identified due to the bar codes and poor ink quality.

West Mercia Police is urging residents when selling items to check the cash being tendered.

And anyone who encounters a fake note is being urged to report it to police on 101, even if it is only an attempted purchase.
