CHAWSON First School in Droitwich is opening a pre-school class for children aged three to four from this September.
Pre-school co-ordinator, and early years teacher, Emma Collins-Browne said everyone was excited to get the project off the ground.
“It will offer a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and discover through play.
“With there being a need for more pre-school places for children in Droitwich, we are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to our local community.”
The pre-school will be open during term-time from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with a range of sessions available for families to apply for to suit them and their children. Families will also have the opportunity to use their Nursery Education Funding to claim free sessions.
Chawson First School headteacher Nicola Peck said: “As a school with families and children at the heart of all we do, opening our own pre-school feels like the natural next step.
“I am excited to use the expertise of our early years staff and wonderful school grounds to offer the very best pre-school experience.”
