A SUSPECTED drug-dealer was arrested in Droitwich in the early hours of this morning while officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team were carrying out cycle patrols.
The team took to their bikes targeting areas where thefts from vehicles had been taking place – it was all quiet on the opportunist thief front but the officers spotted a person suspected of dealing.
He tried to avoid escape but was detained and a search revealed he had substances on him.
Enquiries are ongoing in relation to this matter.
The pro-active operation targeting acquisitive crime such as vehicle crime, burglaries and thefts will continue in Droitwich for the foreseeable future.
