Concerns for man's welfare which led to M5 closure between Bromsgrove and Halesowen brought to a safe conclusion

THE NORTHBOUND M5 was closed this morning between Junction 4 (Bromsgrove) and Junction 3 (Halesowen) after concerns for a man on a bridge.

It happened around 8am in Frankley.

Officers from West Midlands Police brought the incident to a safe conclusion and the man is now receiving the support he needs.

The charity Samaritans is available 24/7 for people who need to talk if they find themselves struggling or in difficult situations. Calls are free on 116 123.




The incident led to tailbacks and delays on the motorway and surrounding roads, including the A38.
