Chance to win £50 with Wychavon’s active travel survey

Droitwich Editorial 2nd Jul, 2022   0

WYCHAVON District Council is offering the chance to win £50 in cash to residents who complete the active travel survey.

The survey aims to identify how people currently travel around the district day to day and what prevents people from walking or cycling more in their professional and personal lives.

It also lists several potential schemes to make walking and cycling easier in Wychavon and asks people to say which one they would be interested in.

Ideas include a ‘try before you buy’ e-bike scheme and an e-bike work rental or hire system, as well as family or women-only bikeability sessions to improve participants’ cycling skills.

The council’s executive board member for climate change, environmental policy and regulatory services, Coun Tony Rowley said: “We’re committed to helping people get about more sustainably.

“The survey takes just a couple of minutes to complete and by doing so you are not only helping us understand how we can support you to walk and cycle more, but you have a chance of winning £50 as well.”

The winner of the £50 will be drawn at random after the survey closes on July 17.
