A DROITWICH woman is celebrating her success after achieving the national Protection Adviser of the Year Award at the glistening Financial Reporter Women’s Recognition Awards ceremony.
Jo Mezzone runs a family-owned mortgage & protection advice business called Whiteoak Mortgages and was recognised for her commitment to her clients in a heavily male-dominated industry.
She said: “I think personally, mortgage and protection is a rather male-dominated industry, so to be a woman to win this award is great.
“As a small family-run business to win such a national award, we are incredibly proud – I am incredibly proud.”

The company was first set up in Jo’s garage five years ago when she and her husband Steve decided to enter the mortgage and protection industry.
Since the company is now based at the Gaudet Luce Golf Club in Droitwich and has won other awards for the high-quality work they do.
Jo added: “We love what we do, and helping people achieve their dreams with property is a passion we both share.”
