Planters brightening up Droitwich Railway Station in need of flower funding

PLANT sponsors are needed to fill up the new planters at the Droitwich Railway Station.

The Friends of Droitwich Railway (FODSRS) have so far installed four planters in a bid to attract more visitors and brighten up the area.

However, the remaining two beds are in need of flower sponsors to fulfil the group’s goal.

The first planter installed was made of concrete.

FODSRS Chairman, Martin Jones, said: “We hope the planters will give people an incentive to visit Droitwich, rather than pass through it.”

The four planters have been kindly sponsored by Redrow Homes, Help for Hire and The Community Rail Network and the flowers for two of the four were funded by Droitwich Spa Tennis Club and KB Decorators from Droitwich.

Initially, there was only one concrete planter at the station donated by Webbs of Wychbold.
