Droitwich Santa Sleigh's Westlands route has been announced

Droitwich Editorial 28th Nov, 2022   0

SANTA will be taking a break from his North Pole duties and will be touring around Droitwich on Thursday, December 1.

The tour – which has been a regular occurrence in the town for half a century – will start at the Westlands Community Centre at 5.15pm.

At 5.45pm, Santa will be on the move and will be visiting Meadow Way, Meadow Road, Westwood Road, Crofters Way, Paddock Way, Coppice Way and Close, Hunters Way, Park Way, Nuffield Drive, Inett Way and Westwood Close.

Precise times cannot be given as to when he will be on the set roads in the evening due to circumstances out of the Droitwich Lion’s control, and worst-case scenario, the trip may be cut short or cancelled.

A link will also be available via the Droitwich Santas Sleigh Facebook so parents and children can track where Santa is on his grand trip.

The tour aims to finish around 7.30pm.

This year Droitwich Lions will be helped by a band of volunteers who helped to ensure this much-loved Droitwich tradition can keep going.

Organisations like the Droitwich Cricket Club and Rugby Club have also offered skilful drivers to navigate around the local town and streets.

In addition to the sleigh runs Santa will be in his sleigh in the Precinct on December 9th and 10th between 10.30am and 2.30pm and outside Waitrose on December 16th and 17th from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
