AN OVERNIGHT full road closure will be in place next week to allow work to be carried out at the A38 Copcut junction.
Worcestershire County Council will be amending the junction near Droitwich to create a right-turn-only lane into Copcut Lane from the A38 travelling southbound towards Worcester.
This decision has been taken after traffic behaviour observations and a safety audit process.
The work will see a full overnight closure of the A38 and the junctions of Pulley Lane and Copcut Lane between 8pm and 6am from next Monday until Thursday, April 24 to 27.
This will allow existing road markings to be removed and new ones to be put in place, including hatching, red screed and cats eyes.
Signs will be altered, bollards will be installed and traffic signals will be used for the new junction layout.
More traffic observations will be made after the work is completed and its expected all temporary traffic management will be removed next Friday, April 28.
