A WOMAN attempting to rescue her pet parrot from a tree required the fire service to help her get back down.
Bromsgrove fire crews were called to reports of a woman stuck in a tree after trying to retrieve her parrot at 11:20am on Friday (May 26) in Rashwood, near Droitwich.
The Bromsgrove crew used a nine-metre ladder to rescue the woman in her 50’s and her pet parrot, who were helped down safely.
To avoid incidents like this again, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have urged pet owners to contact the RSCPA if their pet is stuck in a tree.
