DROITWICH’S local history and archaeology society will be hosting their latest talk next week on the history of the Monarch’s Way footpath.
Presented by historian Howard Robinson, the presentation will explore the 625 mile long footpath which passes through Droitwich into Worcester.
Monarch’s Way was used by Charles II in his escape to France after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651.
The Droitwich History and Archaeology Society talk will be held in the John Corbett Room of the Droitwich Community Hall on Heritage Way, on June 7 from 7.30pm.
Members can attend for £3 and visitors and non-members can attend for £5.
