DROITWICH Bereavement Cafe opened its doors on Tuesday morning (July 11) as those who have lost loved ones gathered for a cuppa and a chat.
Volunteers and new members gathered at rotary house alongside town mayor Coun Kate Fellows, who will be volunteering to help with the project.
It will now continue on the second Tuesday of every month at the same venue between 10am and midday.
The cafe was set up by the St Vincent de Paul Society after seeing the impact bereavement has had on people in the town.
The free cafe is open to all who have suffered a bereavement, providing light refreshments and a safe space to have a chat with people in similar situations.
Volunteers can help direct people to local groups and organisations if they feel additional help is needed.
The group has received support from other organisations including Droitwich CVS, the town council and the rotary club, which provided funding to the cafe in one of its final acts before closing.
