CHURCHES across Droitwich will invite visitors to experience the history of their community’s s iconic religious landmarks as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days.
Each church will open their doors to the communities they serve for a host of activities with a chance of historical discovery.
This year’s Worcestershire Heritage Open Days take place between September 8 and September 17 and offer an opportunity to celebrate the counties heritage, community and history by exploring hidden places and trying new experiences.
St. Andrews Church, Ombersley will be open on September 9 and September 10 from 10am.
Creativity Unwrapped will allow you to get up close to the stained glass windows, get crafty, see the Sandys’ Mausoleum, learn about glass and be refreshed.
St Mary and All Saints Church, Hampton Lovett is open on September 9 from 10am to 4pm.
Through exhibits, displays, and activities, visitors with be able to see and celebrate past and current examples of creativity and heritage from within the church and local community.
Visitors can also learn about Hampton Lovett’s wider heritage and the historic figures in our local community and see the work currently underway to repair and conserve the 14th century church tower.
Tea, coffee and cakes available.
All events will be completely free to attend.
