NOVELIST Alison Jean Lester and Droitwich Arts Network literary lead Karen Read are starting The Droitwich Writers Circle, a monthly get-together for writers.
The first meeting of the group, which is for both aspiring and more advanced writers, will start next Thursday, September 28, running from 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Droitwich Library.
The sessions aim to provide a safe space for sharing work, giving and receiving feedback and encouragement and discussing the joys and challenges of the writing life.
Alison, who is also from Droitwich, said: “No matter if you’ve got a piece of writing on the go or are wishing you could get started, or even if you just want to spend some time with other writers, the Droitwich Writers Circle is designed to be a welcoming and encouraging place.”
Alison and Karen are looking forward to seeing where the Droitwich Writers Circle may lead.
